Brewery Tap
The Red Lion is an original Joule’s house and like most of the medieval town centre, sits over Market Drayton’s aquifer, the water source for all our ales. The hard, pure mineral water found directly beneath the pub made the decision of where to home the 4th Joule’s Brewery very easy.

Does that mean the Red Lion is closing - I lived there from 1950 - 1960 - such fond memories!
I grew up playing in The Red Lion, called in every morning to meet my friend whose parents ran it. We would go to school together
