Brewery Tours

On the first Wednesday of each month (excluding August and January) the Brewery hosts a Public Tour hosted by the team at our brewery tap The Red Lion, where you have the chance to tour the brewery and see behind the scenes of our unique brewery operation.

The evening starts at 7pm in the Mouseroom, which overlooks the brewery at The Red Lion. The evening includes a welcome and insight to the history of Joule’s Brewery and how that led to the creation of our 4th brewery here in Market Drayton.

We welcome you with a sample of our current seasonal beer and a pre-tour pint of Joules of your choice. A technical tour of the brewery starts around 7.45pm after a brief jaunt through our heritage; please note the brewery is a working production site and sensible footwear must be worn, no open-toed shoes or heels are allowed in the brewery.

Your visit in to the brewery includes climbing the 71 steps to the top of the malt tower and follows a typical brew day from malt to hops to water to brewing and ends with packaging before you head back to the Mouseroom for the rest of the experience.

The evening is rounded off with more beer sampling where you also have the chance to step behind the bar and pull your own pints for that fully immersive brewers experience. You also get a brewery supper; a giant Joule’s hot pork bap, vegetarian options available.

The tour finishes at 10pm and this is the suggested time for carriages, otherwise, you are welcome to finish your evening in The Red Lion bar.

PRIVATE BREWERY TOURS
